music is up in my life now, listening is quite constant.
on my playlist more than most other albums:
de La soul: de la soul is Dead.
these guys are officially my favorite hip hop group. but, i never really got into any albums except for 3 feet high and rising, and stakes is high. those where the first two i got and i just never moved on. lately things are changing and i was finally ready to let this album into my head. i've got it on my headphones right now.
weezer: make Believe
i officially love this album. i fell in love with weezer along with everyone else when i was young and sad, and like a lot of people i turned my nose up at anything after pinkerton. in the same motions for de la soul is dead, i finally got over my self and am screaming along to my best friend just like the old days.
patrick wolf - the Magic Position
i heard this album recently when a friend posted about it. i can't figure out why i love this album but i do so dearly. ok, maybe it's easy to figure out. one: look at him. two: listen to his voice. and three: you just have to check out the lyrics. they are like the poetry i would write at 17 growing up in the swiss alps writing letters to my lover in germany. ok, i couldn't write these songs because they are wonderful.
the postal service - give up
i listened to this album over and over and over. luckily i've been able to put it down.
also deserving of mention are
~klePtones - yoshimi Battles the hip-hop robots: tho really i'm here for love song for yoshimi
~the Flaming Lips - yoshimi battles the pink robots: usually i've switched to this album half way through the kleptones mashup, or i switch to the kleptones mashup half way through this album.
~explosions in the sky: how strange innocence - it's nice to have something to relax too.
i'm going through all my music so i gots lots else on play but these stand out. pretty soon i'll start looking for more music new to me.
