The box expensive toys come in is always more fun than the actual toy.

Eagle Ceremonies- I went to both David and Kurt Otto's Eagle scout ceremonies and was a color guard for both. And I actually had some respect for the flag and I wasn't twirling it around. I was also an honor guard member for David's ceremony this morning. I am proud, but it doesn't really motivate me to run around like a maniac trying to finish my project this weekend or anything like my mom is. I got to sit around and listen to mostly the same speech. And eat lunch and some cake. I got to talk to Bybee outside of band and see band moms some more. Wow. Three Eagle scouts in the same family and their sister obtained the highest girlscout rank. Really cool. I will get mine done soon. Maybe in a month or two and then we can start planning the ceremony. (Shannon got some pictures of me in a scout uniform with the stupid looking socks, but I will deny it all.)

New car- My dad picked me up from the game at the school and even without my glasses from a distance, in the dark, I could pick out the new Scion xB. They had just gotten it that night. I didn't want to drive it home due to the fact that I was tired, had no glasses or a license. I did drive it part of the way home when we got into the neighborhood. I drove the Taurus to David's ceremony because of the gravel parking lot. Then I drove the Scion to Kurt's ceremony and I am still convinced that the speedometer reports a higher speed than actual. Anyway, not peppy, but I didn't push it too much because I need to break-in the engine. Right now it has about 35 miles. When my parents picked it up, it had 6. So the manual says not to race or accelerate too quickly until at least 1000 miles have been traversed. It actually says that, so I might heed that warning because new engines really do need to be broken in. I drove it up KFC/Taco Bell and I ordered inside, but I had to wait for chicken to be made, so I went back out to gaze at the red C6. I had parked next to it because I knew that the driver wouldn't hit my car with his door- he would be very careful. You have to think like that in parking lots. Avoid trucks, fat people, kids (unless in a minivan with sliding doors), clumsy people, elderly people, and drunks. So anyway I was looking at the beautiful convertible while standing next to some French Canadians and they just kept stareing at my car. WTF? Come, C6 in front of you. Anyway, I guess Canada gets neither car shipped there. So they have to gawk here in a Taco Bell parking lot. Stereo has not been tested fully, but so far is not too impressive. It is better than most stock cars, but I want more. Like the ambient color changes the stereo on the 05 models would do. Now it is just one permanent color. The car sounds pretty nice with the Borla exhaust. My mom took some pictures and movies between the Eagle ceremonies. And the car does look slightly purple in direct sunlight.

The game- We won. We had fun. Another away game this week and I don't want to be an innocent bystander who gets glittered on the bus. Friday.
