shades of deception never lie
their hues scream at me
your face never shames away
but those colors tell me everything
_____and i know all i need to know
they used to be the best
my favorite thing of you
there's no denying what we both know
there's no guarding against your tell
its time to quit your bluff

your lips i've tasted
and your words are wasted
and everything we've been facing
all lost here between our stare
was it worth it all
was it worth the nights and days
the dates and dreams
and every sunset kiss we shared
i suddenly feel cold
numb
like a frostbitten madman
that glare i feel
______it tells me all I need to know
i know it so
no need for ask
what was once alive in olive and blue
now lies in memoriam
casketed away
served up in serile grey
seen through a glossy finish of the tears
that tear us apart

I can't ask how come
I won't dare wonder why
everything u manage to say falls short
like the worst feeling in the world
