You only think that you're blind because your eyes fill with smoke
You're deaf because you can't hear your old familiar house creak
Have you ever even tried to really live like you spoke?
Painting images of 2.3 kids and no lost car keys
You're gonna find out the hard way
That no one lives the easy way
They can only clap so long and when the silence sets in
You're going to wonder if they were just trying to keep their cold hands moving
Everybody lives and dies and it's for no real reason
What is it about your naivete that makes your voice so soothing?
You're gonna find out the hard way
That no one lives the easy way
Everybody's got their price
'Cause everybody's got their debt to pay
And when your breath is running out
You're gonna work hard to draw it in again
You could ask why but you won't
'Cause you're going to jump right into it
And when you die
I'm gonna be right by your side
We're gonna share a piece of dirt
Until we don't mean anything at all
