(no subject)
today at work, i got another promotion.
holy shit.
there's no raise involved with this one, but finally i get to do something different.
unfortunately, i have to share the position with someone else at another office, but basically what i'll be doing is control (correcting payroll tax errors, quarter end closes, etc.) every other month. i start on october 15th, then on november 15th, the other girl does the job and i'm back on the phones for a month. that's the awesome part about it, i get to be off the phones, i HAVE to be off the phones while doing this job because it is so intensive. SWEET SALVATION. i'll still be on the phones every other month, but the best part is i get to do control for dec15th - jan15th, which means I WON'T BE ON THE PHONES FOR THE BUSIEST TIME OF THE YEAR. sure, i'll have my head spinning with other things, but at least i don't have to fucking take phone fucking calls every day.
sigh of relief.
hopefully the other girl i share the job with will get pregnant or something so i can have it full time. i'm so excited!
the promotion is being announced tomorrow. my coworkers are going to be pissed, the ones that have been here longer than me anyway and are still at the same level.

in unhappy news, i'm broke. i went overboard for my boyfriend's birthday. spent too much $$$. eek. i've never dated someone on their birthday before. nervous.
but i think i have it budgeted out. my mommy sent me $100.00 for my birthday last week, so i should be good.
