What did you do in 2008 that you'd never done before?
Quit my job without having another one lined up. (Best decision I ever made but not something I can recommend)
2. Did you keep your New Years' Resolutions, and will you make more for next year?
I have no idea what I resolved last year, but maybe and yes.
3. Did anyone close to you give birth?
Yeppers. Little Orion came into my life and it was love at first sight.
4. Did anyone close to you die?
No, not this year.
5. What countries did you visit?
Canada. Wisconsin in February felt like a different country too.
6. What would you like to have in 2009 that you lacked in 2008?
Peace of mind.
7. What date from 2008 will remain etched upon your memory, and why?
March 29th. I got hitched.
8. What was your biggest achievement of the year?
Convincing Caren to marry me.
9. What was your biggest failure?
Mental breakdown I guess, or the denial leading up to that.
10. Did you suffer illness or injury?
Probably. Oh I had my new tear duct carved into my face.
11. What was the best thing you bought?
The Wii for me and the scooter for the lady.
12. Whose behaviour merited celebration?
My amazingly courageous wife, and a lot of my mindblowingly great friends. I've also seen my pals on LJ make some major decisions and pull some crazy brave acts this year, so go you guys! Maybe my mom for finally leaving my dad. People can be pretty rad. :)
13. Whose behaviour made you appalled and depressed?
My family.
14. Where did most of your money go?
Mortgage, pets, doctors. Booze too.

A new job.

Mini-golf. And travel I suppose

Smoke (although it has gotten so so so much better)

With wonderful friends and family. And my wife had a bobble-head nativity set made as a gift for my mom (at her request) so it was the funniest christmas ever.

Nope.

I reread "Night of the Avenging Blowfish," and I would recommend it to anyone and everyone. Hilarious and touching.

Black Kids or Santogold

A new job

A new home.

Milk
31. What did you do on your birthday, and how old were you?
29 and went to little Bavaria with some friends. I drank and got eaten by mosquitoes and saw an accordion festival. It was AWESOME.
32.What one thing would have made your year immeasurably more satisfying?
The lady being in better health. Or less accident prone maybe.
33. How would you describe your personal fashion concept in 2008?
"This looks sort of clean, I'll put that on." Except when I was unemployed where it was either an interview suit or pajamas.

Dr. Suess, tiny pills and the most understanding friends in the world.

I miss my college pals a whole lot.

I think it has finally sunk in that to have healthy relationships I need to take care of myself.
