So today I thought it would be a great idea to get the studded snow tires onto my bike. I should have known better. Changing tires is one of the most stressful things you can do in a small apartment with a velvet couch and a clean bed so near to hand. It's nearly always messy work, and it's stressful under these conditions. It took forever, I snapped one of three tire levers I had, pinch-flatted an inner tube, and managed to get the rear tire on backwards (the tread is directional) the first time. And of course I started too late in the day and was totally out of the mood to ride by the time I got done. My hope is that the snow/ice/slush lasts long enough that this work won't have been in vain.
