Happy Birthday to me!
I never had a LiveJournal before now, but I had such a wonderful birthday today that I wanted everyone to know about it!
This morning I got to sleep in because my parents let me skip 1-3 periods because of the Florida Writes and I didn't have to take it. So me and some of my closest friends got up and went to Cracker Barrell for a birthday breakfast for me! It was so much fun! Darrah gave me her presents that I have been dying to get! She got me this awesome and really fancy leather and silver key chain with my initials engraved on one side and "I love you. -Darrah" on the other side. It's really nice! I love it! She also got me a New York Giants Super Bowl Champions t-shirt! It's SO awesome! I have been wanting one since we won the Super Bowl! :) Presley got me a New York Yankees toothbrush and Grandma and Papa got me a really nice New York Yankees beach towel for drying off at water polo practices! :) Darrah also got me this cute bear that said "Happy Birthday" on it from the Cracker Barrell store. Ashley made me a custom binder for 1st period because my old binder is falling apart! That was very nice of her and I liked it alot! Well, while I went back to school, Darrah stayed behind at home and made me a wonderful cake and decorated my room with orange streamers, orange silly string, ballons, and a "Happy Birthday" banner! It was such a wonderful suprise! Some of my friends helped too! After school, I went to water polo practice and band practice so I'm tired! But I have had such a wonderful day! I can't thank everyone enough for wishing me a happy birthday! It will be a birthday to remeber! Not only tonight, but Darrah has dinner reservations for her and I on Saturday to celebrate my birthday since we didn't have time to go out to eat tonight! I am really, really excited about that too! Valentine's Day is on Thursday and I can't wait to celebrate with Darrah! It is going to be amazing, I am so excited! :)
On another note, I realized how fast we "grow up". Driving to practice today, I stopped and thought, "Wow, I'll be out of here in a year and living on my own." It is a scary thought and a very sad one too. I am no longer a kid and I forget sometimes that we cannot and live our child hoods again as much I would like too... I am scared sometimes of the future and don't want to grow up. Not that I don't want to grow up, I just don't want to get old. I want to continue living like I do now. Care free and having the time of my life because I know I'll be on my way to college and starting a new chapter of my life in the blink of an eye. I just can't believe I am 17 and that my high school career is almost over because I can still remember the first day of 9th grade walking into Apopka High School being scared out of my mind. So I need to hold on to the few precious moments that I have left and soak it all in. Make as many memories as possible!
I love Darrah so much and I know that I can walk into the future with confidence because I know she will be there with me every step of the way!
