Well yeah, there were a lot of characters that died who weren't supposed to die. The actors probably just realized how much of a tool Brett Ratner is and said "No effing way, I'm out."

It's weird how they killed off characters that didn't die to the Dark Phoenix in the comics, I guess you can't have everything though right?
