Poker night went very well. I learned how to play poker and blackjack and also met a bunch of new people. As I said in my previous post, the night was hosted in the Oakwood apartment building by two gay guys, Vashal and Zack. There was pizza and beer and fun, fun, fun.
We, Zack, Vashal, Ivy, Peter, Pete, Scott, and Ash, started the games around 8:15 and played until 11:30. The games consisted of blackjack, poker, high card-low card (at the end), and some other poker variation game, which I can't remember the name of. We had 1 cent, 5 cent, and 10 cent chips- I put a dollar in the pot. It was mucho fun.
After playing we all went to the top of the apartment building. The building consists of about 35 floors, so at the top, you can almost see the entire city.
Later, after screwing around a bit, we walked the new Spring St./17th Street bridge and climbed to the top of the unfinished building which is about 38 floors. Now, from the top of that building, you can see the ENTIRE city.- and I mean the entire city. Wow! What a view. To be ironic, Peter, Ivy's man lit up a joint and 4 of us smoked it up. Like I said before, wow, what a view. I got back around 2:30 and fell asleep around 3, after I pigged out on 5 rice crispy treats. hehe.
Everyone I met yesterday was really nice. I'm glad I had the night off from work. I can't wait until the next poker night.
Well my love, talk to you soon. I love you so much.
Ciao- Keenan
