Tis the season to be jolly!
Yesterday was a day out of the norm. Well sorta.
My mom came to see my new place for the first time. It is really funny because she brought a fake 5 foot christmas tree along with her. This tree is already strung with lights and all I need to do now is decorate it with the million of ornaments that she bought just for that little tree. She also bought me a little glass nativity scene. How cute. I really could have lived without both of the christmas trinkets but it is nice I suppose. My mom told me that I need to have christmas eventhough I will not be actually in my apartment during christmas day. ha. She surprises me sometimes.
After I showed her around my building we got in my car to go to ONE Midtown Kitchen to eat. We ended up getting into an accident with this ugly ass black guy. Now, both of my blinker lights are busted (but they still both work), I have a pretty good sized dent on the front driver's side, along with smokey scrapes down the same side. Damn. Why in the hell did that have to happen? Mien Cha, the police officer and also one of Justin's old frat brothers, gave me a ticket for "not maintaining my lane." Bullshit. I had on my blinker. Nothing would have happened if that black fuck wasn't speeding down Spring Street. Fuck me. Now I have to appear in court on the 13th of January. Thank god that is tueday. I only have one early class on tuesday. All my hard earned money is being snatched away by the city of Atlanta. fuck that. :(
After that was all taken care of, my mom and I proceeded to the restaurant to wrestle ourselves up some grub. We had calamari fries, tuna tartar, and a glass of chardonnay to start out with. My mom then had a salad. For our main couse, I had a hanger steak cooked MR and my mom had some sea scallops. It was real funny when the food actually came out. For $10 my mom got 2 sea scallops with a little bit of sauce and garnish and for $18 (i think) I got about 5 oz. of meat on top of a huge bed of french fries that might as well been the entire state of Idaho. Geez. My steak was incredibly tastey and the sea scallops were fantastic. Too bad it all ended too soon. For dessert we had Frangelico icecream that was rolled into a ball and encrusted with hazulnuts. It was topped with a dark chocolate sauce that made the "snowball" nothing short of fantastic. Mmmmmmmmmm. We shared this dessert and were fairly satisfied by the end of the entire meal. The bill ended up being $70...
The place was good but not good enough for me to go back on my tab. If someone else is willing to pay, I'll be willing to go. ha.
The style of the place was neat. It was decretly decorated for the holidays with white painted tree branches, white strings of light, and white christmas flowers in snowman pots. The lights in the joint were very cool and differnt. There were 4 unisex bathrooms that were all differnt. Each one was illuminated in a differnt color. When I went to check them out, all of the 3 that I looked at had the toilet seat up. You inconsiderate males. I found it kind of funny.
After dinner my mom and I went back to my apt and talked for a little while. She left and I then went to Justin's to watch Deep Space 9- the 7th season. I watched two episodes that weren't very great but still enjoyable. Justin still acts like we are together. He needs to stop. I tell him to.
Anyway, that is it for now. Today is Christmas Eve and I have to work. I just hope that I'm not a closer. After work I'm going to go to my parent's house and stay the night. For dinner tomorrow we are going to have prime rib roast. MMMMMMMMmmmmmm GOOD! I can't wait.
