BEWARE

wishlist.com.au boasts a "Gift Finder" where you simply enter your details, and the magical "Gift Finder" will point you in the right direction towards the perfect gift.

Naturally curios, I entered my details.

How on earth did that end up with the below?

A FUCKING GIFT VOUCHER !?!?! The very idea of this Gift Finder would be to stop people buying gift vouchers. Gift vouchers are not a gift. The very name of them suggests so. They are a 'voucher' that allows you go purchase an actual 'gift'. This angers me muchly. When someone receives that voucher they're only going to end up entering their details into the gift finder and the awful cycle starts all over again.

Secondly, I'm not an expert in database management, but how the hell do you enter 'male' & 'bookworm' and get gift vouchers and wine. That is slop. Absolute slop.

Keen to test this further, I changed the criteria to my dads, and tried again.

You've got to be fucking kidding me.

Exactly the same. "Whatever you like, as long as its gift vouchers and wine".

Not only is it rubbish, its lazy rubbish. Whoever is responsible for the wishlist.com.au database needs to choose their attitude.

I'm onto you Wishlist.
