At least I have good hair

Well not really. I have thin, fine hair which is what nobody wants. But, I got a haircut this morning, and so am in the process of reconstructing the mess that stupid Danielle from Judy Jetson Salon made.

I went back to Amal Niccoli, which I always liked and this woman did a great job. She evened the longest layer in the back so I don't have a distinct line dividing my head horizontally. Now its actually shorter in the back than the front, but it looks cute and is a minor variation on the basic bob that I want. I think this will grow out better too, and look pretty much like this only a bit longer in three months, when I'll probably want it trimmed.

Despite my advancing age, still no grey--yay genetics---so I won't dye it red just yet. My dad has no grey and my mom just started to get a few grey hairs over the last few years---after she turned 50. Now she highlights it, so the grey is covered over with strawberry. So, I figure I've got about 20 more years to not dye my hair and figure out what color I want it when I finally do. Probably a strawberry color----it might even look natural.

Getting a good haircut always makes me feel better. (Getting a bad haircut makes me want to wear a shopping bag on my head.) I really want to treat myself to some retail therapy---I need some sneakers and some bras---but I will wait a week or two for the holiday circus to die down. Maybe I can stop being a watering pot long enough to enjoy Christmas eve with B's family tomorrow.
