Break Update

This entry is going to be hella long, I haven't written in a while.
Tommorrow I get to go to dealerships with my dad and get my new car! I'm really excited. My poor windstar has been declared unfit to drive to Salem anymore. I will miss you, windstar, you were great for hauling people and stuff all over the place. I have fond memories of you, even though my parents hate Ford cars now. I think I am going to get a Mazda 6 hatchback. Blue would be sweet, so would a moon roof and the sport package, which has a sweet sound system, but I wont be too picky, since I don't have to pay. I'm such a daddy's girl, I love it. The real question is whether i can learn to drive stick in a week if we end up getting a manual. I really want a manual because they are so much smoother, I have been meaning to learn to drive one for ever. I have just never been around long enouh for more than a few lessons. So freakin sweet!
So thus far over break I have been to California with Alice, and Colorado to see family. Alice's family and friends were all really nice and I got to go to a caroling party when I stayed with her, so that was fun. We also went to Chinatown in San Francisco, where we had Dim Sum and I bought an amazing dress.
I also got some Christmas shopping done for my friends there. Then we went dancing at club Verdi, where Stompy Jones was playing. That is a sick band, especially the trumpet player. San Francisco dancers do a lot of balboa and not much Blues, from what I saw.
I spent one night at home and managed to go the the Christmas dance at the grange before flying to Colorado the next day. Sweet dance, I wore a sparkly fringy dress, santa hat and heels and I got asked to dance more often than I ever have so I think it worked.I think I only sat out like 5 songs all night.
Colorado was fun, went skiing at winter park and swing dancing in Denver, with Sri. It was even cooler than San Francisco, there were 330+ dancers, mostly preety good and all friendly. Did I mention I was born in Denver? Everything that comes out of there must be good.
I'm home now and talking to Howard online. He has been in Japan for about half a month now, and I won't see him untill after tour. It is tough, but we talk online almost every night for quite a while. It has been a stressful situation, due to some stuff I won't go into, but he is so worth it. Apparantly we seem like an odd match to some people, but really we have so much in common that it works out really well. The first week we dated he came to all four of my concerts, I think that means it will work out. Apparantly he finds it attractive that I am a musician, which is importnant to me. I can't deal with people who just put up with music, I have learned. He is so sweet to me. Even when I think I'm being an idiot; he still makes me feel good. Maybe it's just the stardust phase, but for the time being I couldn't be happier.
