8:08 a.m. -- Living wage jobs in Idaho hard to find says report
For every 14 people looking for work in Idaho, there is only one available job opening that pays a living wage, according to a study to be released later this morning.
The Idaho Community Action Network will unveil the “Searching for Work that Pay: 2007 Northwest Job Gap Study” at 11 a.m. this morning at the Downtown Federal Post Office, 750 West Bannock.
The annual study was prepared by the Northwest Federation of Community Organizations.
The report reveals that 35 percent of job openings in Idaho pay less than the $10.41 an hour living wage required by a single adult, while 87 percent pay less than $22.23 an hour required for a single adult with two children.
TO TOP IT OFF: The bill to increase Idaho's minimum wage died in House Committee this morning.......
We need to get out of this State!!!!!
