My spring has sprung!
Well - we bought the rest of the stuff we needed for planting. At least we thought we did. It rained cats and dogs late Saturday and into late morning Sunday. So, around noon we hauled ass outside to get as much done as possible before the next rain storm rolled through.
So far we got 5 trees planted along with one azalea between the shrubs in front of the picture window. I pulled all the old rose bushes to make room for the new stuff. Azaleas will be lining the east side of the house and assorted lilies and flowering perennial will be lining the back fence.
It's all starting to come together.
But as we planted and looked around - of course we got more ideas! So, it looks like it's back to Home Depot and Lowes to pick out some more stuff.
Oh yeah - met the new guy across the street. He and his girlfriend are our ages and seem to be great people. My neighborhood has really started to become more friendly lately. So many of the old folks have died off or moved on that the houses are being picked up quickly by younger more friendly types! It's a mighty welcome change.
