I got hired
Well, my days on the unemployment rolls turned out to be few. I got hired by the Amherst College Physical Plant today to join their custodial staff. Today I vacuumed stairwells in the science building, and it looks like I'll be back up there tomorrow. The pay is actually about the same as I was making at camp, once you factor in room and board, so I won't take a financial hit for my firing.
Anyway, now that I have a job and a room and a key and everything I have some moving in to do, since I'll be in one place for three weeks. I need to get my fridge set up so that I can have cereal in the mornings.
