So today, as it turns out, I shaved, showered, and practiced. I really needed to shave.
I'm leaving Amherst tomorrow morning to go to this music camp in Maine. Campers won't arrive until Sunday or something, so I'll have plenty of time to meet these other counselors and get used to stuff. I'm very much looking forward to this camp, despite having done pretty much nothing to prepare for it. I did buy a book of tuba solos and orchestral excerpts for students to sight-read on the first day of camp ...
This camp will be good, though: it will be a step up from what I've done in past summers (YMA was fantastic and amazing, but didn't really ask much of counselors as teachers) and will keep me busy for a solid two months. I'm looking forward to meeting new people and working with kids, playing tuba again, and being in Maine, which apparently is the place to be in the summer.
That's probably all you're going to hear from me until well into August, but it's not like I've been very prolific on this thing anyway. Well, have a fun summer time everyone, and keep writing things for me to read when I get done with everything in a couple of months here.
Bye-bye.
