Okay, so bear with me here. I'm kind of in the middle of cleaning my bedroom, and I was sorting through some notebooks, when I came across a short story I wrote on August 9, 2003. I'm going to share that with you now...
"Arrgh..." Fuzzy Eyebrows muttered as he caught sight of another ship's sails on the horizon.
"Time to plunder?" Earwig asked from the crow's nest.
"Aye." Fuzzy replied with a sigh.
Fuzzy hadn't been content with being a pirate ever since he lost his left leg in the Battle of Bunker Hill. Once a fearsome pirate, Fuzzy Eyebrows was now just a pirate-shaped shell of his former self.
As the Sea Wench sailed closer to the enemy ship, Fuzzy took a deep breath and commanded his crew to take it over. As they went on their swashbuckling way, Fuzzy scurried to his cabin below deck. He packed up his favorite belongings and headed back up to the ship's deck, slinging the bag over his shoulder.
"Earwig!" He shouted, and his faithful first mate came to his side. "Forget the crew and the Coral Blaster, we're taking the Sea Wench and getting out of here."
With a tilt of the head and a shrug, Earwig obliged, and helped Fuzzy Eyebrows turn the Sea Wench around. As the Coral Blaster and Fuzzy's dumbfounded crew faded into the distance, Fuzzy Eyebrows shoved his first mate overboard and took a deep breath.
"Time for a fresh start," he told himself and headed back across the deck. Ten feet from the bow, Fuzzy's pegleg got stuck in a knot hole.
"Fuck..." He muttered and tried in vain to free his wooden leg from the hole.
Sadly, my writing hasn't improved much since then...
Also! I wrote French haiku, which I will share with you as an added bonus...
Les quatre chats ont joués
Quand il a plu, le chat rouge
A gagné le match.
Un lapin avec
Les yeux rectangulaire et
Violet est triste.
Un zèbre avec
Un imperméable jaune
Est très, très sympa.
Lame, I know.
