Catch a falling star
and put it in your pocket,
never let it fade away
never let it fade away
never let it fade away

In the midst of my quest of finding my vocation, I realised that I've partially played it safe all along. And though I've ventured out enough to find and explore my inclinations, I've never really seriously considered a decision--not even a tentative one.

Earlier this afternoon, I was thinking of the future and the rhyme I placed above, and I figured that sometimes we just have to decide, and that's when we learn that we are sure. We learn that sacrifices are worth the dreams we dream. We find purpose in hardwork and strength in our challenges because we know that there are no shortcuts (and we don't want shortcuts) to our dreams. We want the full experience of it, come what may. We are eager and we are ready for anything. And in the end, we will be what we ought to be; but we all must begin with a choice.

Our dreams, ambitions, goals and fervent desires are the falling stars we put in our pockets; and we never let these stars fade away. Our falling stars are in our pockets for a reason: to remind us of who we are and who we want to be. These stars in our pockets are our personal guides to life.

As for my falling stars, I'm happy to say that I've caught them and I've put them in my pocket--to never let them fade, to constantly let them remind and guide me of what and who I want to be.

Somehow, I'm not so lost anymore. :)

Of course, I still need prayers to finalise and affirm, as well as a confirmation to proceed. But nonetheless, I'm happy and blessed that I could "feel" the call with regards to what I ought to do and where I ought to be.
