Erratum:
Yesterday, I wrote
this.
Today, I realised after briefly reading Edith Hamilton's Mythology: Timeless Tales of Gods and Heroes that, that what I said about my name, Melissa Daian, being of Greek origin is well, only half true. It seems that I've confused myself. Melissa is the name that is of Greek origin; while Daian is of Roman origin, from the moon/hunting/forest/childbearing goddess Diana. This confusion is probably because of the fact that Roman and Greek mythology are very similar to each other save for the names--and I obviously had my information mixed-up. Moon/hunting/forest/childbearing goddess Diana is known in Greek mythology as Artemis.
+_+
To make the long story short, my name is of Graeco-Roman origin afterall. :) Well, now I know that I've got the best of both Old Worlds! ^_^
