UNETHICAL TALK SHOWs
it just entered my mind that rather than profit and ratings, these talk shows are pathetic.. im sorry for being straight forward but take for instance piolo pascual... people spread rumors through a video cam that he was having sex with some one, then ofcourse media takes charge of the issue. once this issue is out on television, then what? this is not only negatively affecting the persons role as a celebrity, but also degrading him as a person. lets say it has been proven that he was on that sex video? then what? yes he will be in a huge state of embarassment, but what do we viewers have to do with that. IT's sad that media doesn't think of the people they are talking about and the values they should have as a powerful medium that influences others. it's something to think about, i mean...being a celebrity, it is understood to be part of the whole package, but as educated individuals who work in the media, there shouldnt be any excuse for degrading someone through "chismis". people are very vulnerable to whats presented to them, especially when media presents it... It doesnt always dawn on the television viewers that these celebrities or whom ever is talked about do want things kept private..
sorry for the unusual topic, but its important and it is something to think about...
