I wouldn't say I respect artists as much as I fear them. The process of art is so confusing that it has become one of the things I understand in terms of magic, thus making artists magicians, witches and warlocks. Or shamen. I see them in my head, wielding a wand over their chosen medium yelling, "LO, I HATH RENDERED ART WITH THE AWESOME POWER OF MAGICK!"
I know that there is no Artistic Process, just a series of artistic circumstance that work for the person manning creation that day, but it is still baffling. Anyone who says you can "learn" art is wrong. Art is an ethereal substance that exists only in the hands of the powerful, which is why they should be feared.
