***FICTIONAL BIOGRAPHY***

All little Natalia Romanova grew up knowing was combat and espionage, training that made her a highly skilled and dangerous Russian spy.
Natalia was born in Stalingrad ( now Volgograd) Russia. Her parents were killed in a fire when she was a child. She was saved from death by Ivan Petrovitch, who served as a surrogate father. Ivan could not protect her from the harsher realities of the world. She was taken in by the U.S.S.R.’s “Black Widow Ops” program. With other female orphans with none to protect them, she was trained in combat and espionage in the covert “Red Room” facility. While there, Natalia was psycho-technically engineered (brain washed). Each Black Widow is deployed with a false set of memories to help ensure their loyalty. Romanova was engineered to believe she was a highly skilled ballerina. It was not until later that she discovered she had been manipulated and those memories were not her own.
Her friends often called her "Natasha", the informal version of "Natalia". She has sometimes chosen the last-name alias "Romanoff"-evidently as a private joke on those who are not aware that Russian family names use different endings for males and females. She has been hinted to be a descendant of the destroyed Romanov royal family and a relation to Nicholas II of Russia. She now uses the name Natasha Romanoff exclusively as her ‘given’ name.
Romanoff's work as a ruthless and morally indifferent spy eventually lead to her actions being noticed by Strategic Homeland Intervention, Enforcement and Logistics Division (S.H.I.E.L.D). Agent Clinton Barton (Hawkeye) was sent to kill her but, for reasons still unclear, he chose to spare her life. Natasha denies that she ‘loves’ Barton, claiming that ‘love is for children’ and she simply ‘owes him a debt.’ Her reaction when Loki commandeers Barton for his own devices tells a different story. It is unclear the exact nature of the relationship Barton and Romanoff share, nor what happened in Budapest that the two remember differently.
Natasha became a S.H.I.E.L.D. Agent under Director Nick Fury, going under cover to investigate Tony Stark and evaluate both him and the Iron Man Armor. She recommended that the Iron Man Armor would make a good addition to the Avengers Initiative, but Stark himself would not.
When Loki Laufeyson, brother of Thor Odinson, invades Earth with an army of Chitauri brought forth to Earth via the Cosmic Cube (Tesseract), Natasha and the ‘Avengers’ (Tony Stark/Iron Man, Steve Rogers/Captain America, Dr. Bruce Banner/The Hulk, Barton, Thor battle Loki’s army. Natasha makes her way to the top of Stark Tower to close the portal as Iron Man redirects a missle to take out the Chitauri mothership, disabling the forces on Earth.
After the defeat of the Chitauri and Loki, Natasha and the rest of the ‘Avengers’ take a sabbatical from work. Director Nick Fury tells the council their whereabouts are unknown and they have earned the break.

Please note that Natasha is very much spoken for in several PSLs and verses. Her less than fidelic past is behind her. Simply put, she's not fucking around on her man so don't bother trying. If your muse is interested in a ship with Natasha, a new verse or PSL will be created to accommodate said relationship. Rules below apply for all ships.
MCU/FILM CANON (Default verse for new character interactions)
Natasha is full Iron Man 2 and Avengers canon. She is currently post her sabbatical from S.H.I.E.L.D, though her timeline is fluid. I can play her anywhere during film canon, or pre or post canon if you would like.

Natasha is also Full IM2 and Avengers canon, with a slight difference that she knows Captain Jack Harkness, the current head of the Bureau for Paranormal Research and Defense. She also has not been dosed with the Super Solider Serum, therefor she does not know Steve Rogers or Logan from the comic canon events and much of her interactions with Ivan have not been worked into her history for Bump!Verse.
She is currently in Newark New Jersey, seeking out Steve Rogers with the help of private investigators. She is doing this without S.H.I.E.L.D. knowledge and her reasons for wanting to find Steve so badly have not been relieved.

They know each other better than they know themselves, but that doesn't make the relationship any easier. In fact, it may make it harder.

- Noir AU - In which 'Natalie Rushman' is an agent for the Russians. Infiltrating Coulson's office and life is her first step, what the full mission is remains to be seen.
- Beautiful Disaster - Loki has 'disabled' and taken the guise of Clint Barton using illusion magic. He works his way closer to the Black Widow, to taunt and play with her on a level only a God of Mischief could do.
- Heavy in your Arms - Instead of Clint convincing Natasha to join SHIELD, she turns him back to the 'dark side.'
- Sight and Vision - A mission gone wrong robs Clint of his sight. Together Natasha and Clint must learn to adapt to the worlds greatest marksman being unable to see.
- Shattered - After Leo Novokov successfully reprograms both the Black Widow and the Winter Soldier, Natasha kills Leo and destroys his base, unknowingly leaving herself and Bucky with without an 'easy' way to recapture their true memories.
First and foremost, if you are under the age of consent, I will not play adult themes with you. This includes but is not limited to smut, addiction, abuse, violence, or anything that could land my ass in jail. So basically, I won't play much with you and it might not be worth the tagging time. Additionally, I expect you to TELL ME you're a minor when we start playing. If it's not listed on your LJ you're an adult, I reserve the right to ignore your tags.
Please do not assume your OC child of her and some other character is this Natasha’s kid. They are not. If I like your twist, I will roll with it, but do not god mod my muse into being something she is not. That is your headcanon, not mine.
Additionally, I am exploring Natasha both with and without her taking the serum in her history. This means that she could be barren or she could not. It depends on the setting and I reserve the right to adapt he to said setting.
Additionally, Natasha is a trained killer. If your muse pushes her, she will fight back. No exceptions. If your muse pushes Tasha to the point of wanting to kill them, I will drop the thread. No exceptions.
Finally, I am not opposed to a naturally occurring ship and am pro fandom crossover. I am, however, against the proverbial 'insta-ship'. If our muses click, I would like the ship to progress naturally. I am currently more comfortable with het-ships, and I generally do not smut with players/muses I don't know well enough to trust. It's a personal preference, not offense meant.
