Chapter 2
[Hankyung]
The boy walked away and I stood there looking at my hand. Brat. I smiled. Oh man! My shift is going to start!
I ran from the mall and to the hotel.
“You’re two minutes late.” The hotel manager said sternly. She crossed her arms and tapped her foot.
“Sorry Ms. Chan.” I bowed.
“Do it again and you’re fired.” She walked away.
I can’t believe she owns the hotel. She’s lucky she has a rich grandfather.
I walked into the kitchen and changed at the restroom. I wore my black vest and draped a white towel over my arm.
“Hankyung, jia you (fighting)!” I whispered to myself.
[Heechul]
I browsed through the clothing and suddenly my phone rang.
“What?” I said.
“Where are you???” Park-shi asked.
“The mall.”
“What?! You have a dinner to go to!”
“Oh…right.”
“Hurry!”
“Yeah…” Whatever. I went back to shopping. After I finished that store, I decided to go back to the hotel.
Park-shi was waiting for me in front of the hotel.
“Heechul! You’re late!”
“My bad.”
“Aish! You can’t change anymore. They’re waiting for you.”
“They? I thought it was just appa.”
“No!”
“Whoops.”
We entered the room and found my appa sitting with a woman. The woman was dressed in a hotel suit with a black skirt.
“Oh Heechul, this is Chan-shi.” My dad introduced.
“Oh, do you mind if I call you noona?” I smiled.
“Oh I don’t mind.” She blushed. I guess she can speak Korean.
“Kim-shi, you have such a good looking son.” She commented.
“Yes. You are too,” appa said, “right Heechul?”
I smiled at her. Not really…she’s not at my level…
“Shall we eat?” Chan-shi asked.
“Yes.”
“I’ll have a waiter serve here personally.” She left the room.
She came back with a middle aged man.
“This is Lee Young-min. Our waiter for today.” She introduced.
“I smiled lightly. He’s not that good looking….will it rub off on me…
“Excuse me noona, but do you have a good looking waiter?” I asked.
“Oh.” She sounded surprised. “I’ll be right back.”
[Hankyung]
I sat in the kitchen with other waiters who were watching the television. We were all talking until we heard heels click.
“The witch is here!” we all said quietly. We placed everything back the way it was and hid the television. The cooks started cooking faster and the waiters pretended to grab dishes.
The kitchen door swung open…the witch is here…
“Hankyung.” She said.
Crap. “Yes Ms. Chan?” I asked politlely.
“You are to be the personal waiter of the Kim family for today.”
“What happened to Mr. Lee?” I asked.
“Apparently, the son wanted a good looking waiter.”
“Okay…I’ll be right there.” Great…waiting for another rich family with a spoiled son. What joy…
I stepped out of the kitchen and followed her out to this private room. There was another older man, on the opposite end was a boy with black hair. I couldn’t see the boy’s face since his back was towards me.
“Kim-shi and Kim Heechul, I would like to present our new waiter. His name is Hankyung.”
“Welcome to our prestigious hotel.” I said.
The boy got up, “It’s about time, you - “ He turned around.
At the same time we shouted, “It’s you!”
[Heechul]
I can’t believe it’s the same guy…
“What are you doing here?” I asked, still surprised.
“I work here sir.” He said causally.
“Are you sure you’re not stalking me?”
“No sir.”
“Heechul, do you know this man?” the lady asked.
“No we do not know each other.” Hankyung stated.
Fine, since we don’t know each other, I guess I won’t be nice….
“Hankyung.” I said.
“Yes sir?”
“Get me some ice cold lemonade.”
He left and came back.
I drank it, “Too sweet, go back.”
I made him go back five times until he couldn’t take it anymore.
“Here.” He shoved the sixth lemonade to me.
“Hankyung, don’t treat the customer like that.” The lady said.
“It’s okay noona, Hankyung, come outside with me.” I dragged him outside.
“What do you want?” Hankyung asked suspiciously.
“Look, I need a guide for Hong Kong.” I said.
“Go look for someone else.”
“I’ll pay you.”
“I don’t care about money. Okay, I got to go work.”
“Wait! Please…” I mumbled.
“What did you say?”
“Please…” I whispered.
“Sorry I can’t hear you.”
“Please!” I practically shouted.
“Okay. Meet me here at 10:00 in the morning.”
“Fine.”
“Okay, I got to go back to work now.”
“See you tomorrow.” I said. I smiled…there was something about him…
