Girl In Blue/Jia Qi Ru Meng Episode 1
I posted about this drama a while back. It was originally under "Blue Wedding Day", but later changed to "Girl in Blue". It stars Joe Chen and Roy Qiu.
The sypnosis for this drama is that Joe Chen's character (Jia Qi) met He Ping (Feng Shao Feng) when she was an university student, He Ping's mother opposed to the match and she broke up with him and heartbroken and angry, he went overseas. Manager Ruan (Roy Qiu) is a close friend of He Ping and also rich (doesn't matter really). He meets with Jia Qi and starts pursuing her, but he's not interested in her, nor in love with her. He's just doing it as revenge against Jia Qi for hurting his friend. It's going to be a nasty plot.
This is a cute pick, he looks predatory :)
The story starts that Jia Qi is working at an ad agency (something similar) and her company is hosting this big car event for Manager Ruan. The agency is out two showgirls and force Jia Qi and her friend to dress up. At the event Jia Qi lays eyes on Manager Ruan. Some events happen and Manager Ruan sees her.
He starts pursuing her. Meanwhile He Ping returns and lives at an old house. He narrates that in this place he shared the happiest moments of his love and he doesn't look all that bitter to me. His mom however wants him to move back to the house and to start dating again. Later that night there is an after party and Jia Qi is also invited. An ex-girlfriend scorn shows up and causes a scene and splashes water into Manager Ruan's face and in the process, splashes Jia Qi as well. After the event she's about to leave and Manager Ruan asks her how much her outfit cost so he can compensate her. He takes out a cigarette and a box of matches. Transfixed Jia Qi looks at the matchbox.
She walks by Manager Ruan and asks him where he got that matchbox. He replies her that he got it from an old friend. She wants to buy it from him, he doesn't want to. It's the only one he's got. She tells him she collects them and she had one just like that, but lost it. She starts naming prices.
He tells her to let's play a game. They both light a match and the last one holding the match wins. She goes into flashback mode seeing He Ping doing the same thing. He Ping blows out her match before it burns her. Manager Ruan looks at her, but she's into the past that he blows out his first, while hers keep burning until it burns her. He tosses the matchbox to her.
I think he must have known this. If it's a part of his revenge, he must have known this to do the exact same thing He Ping did. At his house he types: "Let the game begin".
He sends her flowers and picks her up from work and takes her shopping and out to dinner. The episode ended abruptly though.
Thoughts: I don't know why Zheng Dong (manager Ruan) wants to extract revenge upon her, but he's going out of his way to keep He Ping and Jia Qi from meeting each other. What his goal is, is not yet known. Roy Qiu is so damn hot! So far it's going OK. I'm looking forward to the twist. The series has already ended a while ago and it has a total of 32 episodes.
