This series came to an end and I was satisfied with the ending. I wasn't super excited about it, but mildly happy about it.
They forced a lot in one episode. In the final episode they kidnap Pal Kang and Kang Ha comes to the rescue and gets himself kidnapped as well and a GPS device (stalker Joon Ha?). This plot is all in the hands of Jae Young's mom hands (the annoying noona's evil mom). She finds out that Pal Kang is blood related to grandfather and in a futile attempt tries to get rid of her. It's all a bit too much for me. Here is my opinion on the two last episodes.
One thing I never understood and I will never understand is why she had to do all those things. It's not like grandfather hated Jae Young or that he will leave them with no money when he learns that Pal Kang is his granddaughter. She makes an attempt to explain herself, but it didn't make sense. In the end she kills herself... well I think she did. She talks to her husband and is standing a top of a building, so fill in the blank on that. Throughout the series she has been plotting evil things, even killing Pal Kang's parents and trying to kill her. Grandfather gave her a chance to redeem herself, but she pretended not to understand. Also Pal Kang would never have forgiven her and family gatherings would be a bitch. The plot on Jae Young's mom was the only thing that threw me off.
One thing I found so stupid was that Joon Ha knew all along that he and Kang Ha weren't blood related. I was laughing at the stupidity of it all. Here there was two people going into a marriage to protect Joon Ha and he knew all along... stupid.
Pal Kang is dating Kang Ha now. I find them awkward in their romantic moments. Well Pal Kang at least. Kang Ha is all revved up around her. If I had a man like Kang Ha, I'd be all over him 24/7. He even asked her to marry him (well kinda... you have to see the episode to understand it) and she rejects him. She tells him she wants to reach the title of Insurance Queen. In the end she signs the papers so that she won't receive any inheritance, she wants to make it on her own and Kang Ha gives up his shares in the company.
This good deed made me gag! We all know you all are nice people and the saying "Don't bite the hand that feeds you" should apply here to them. Everything was going fine the way it was. No need to give up things. You have 5 siblings to take care of and it's not like grandfather is going to keel over tomorrow... I didn't like that part or even why Kang Ha had to give up his shares.
The kissing scenes didn't disappoint me, but they didn't make me swoon like Coffee Prince did (*swoons*).
Joon Ha and Jae Young (noticed I'm using her first name) fixed their friendship and she her character and personality. After understanding Pal Kang and what made them different, she wants to try to do things herself and if she falls, she'll get back up again. I'm glad she turned human, but it kinda contrast to her character throughout the series. She was a real evil bitch. All in all it turned out well. I am satisfied with that.
Pal Kang found a house in their old neighborhood and is living there with all of her siblings minus one. Pa Rang is living with Kang Ha (huh?!). In a man to man talk Kang Ha wonders when Pal Kang will marry him. At his home he talks to a sleeping Pa Rang and thanks him for being with him. If he have left him as well, he'd definitely feel lonely.
This was too much cuteness! Look at Nami with Kang Ha (SO DAMN CUTE!)
Now for the ending.
The gang go out to eat and on the way home stop to gaze at the stars and Pa Rang sees a fallen star and they all make a wish. On the way back home they hear a crying baby. On a doorstep there is an abandoned baby. Pal Kang picks her up and the kids christened him/her Bora (for the color violet). Pal Kang asks Kang Ha to marry him and they all smile...
The end... so damn corny.
I loved this series for the laughs it gave me and for the Jin siblings and also for Tae-Gyu LOL.
