The mind f*ck that is Full Metal Alchemist

I love this series. I don't know if it's the humor that pulls me in or if it's the characters. It's much darker than the first FMA anime. As Brotherhood is airing, a lot of truths are coming to light and tons of interesting stuff that really f*ck with your head.

As episode 35-41 came and went, so did some shocking truths.

We get an introduction from the new homonculus, called Sloth. There are 7 homonculus; Sloth, Gluttony, Pride, Wrath, Envy and Lust. We all know Lust, Envy and Gluttony are no longer. Pride is also gone, but has re-emerged in Lin and Wrath is the Fuhrer.

Sloth, whose purpose is to keep on digging... what a drag.

So with Sloth in the picture and digging, Ed finds out a shocking truth. All the attacks orchestrated from Central all form an ugly truth. A transmutation circle. They are planning to create a philosopher stone again. In order to complete the circle, Briggs is the last place. However General Major Armstrong (Major Armstrong's sister) is planning on preventing it.

I couldn't manage to find the picture of Hawkeye's back. There is something there and it's disturbing. I think her dad was also part of the first transmutation or something. She has some very weird tattoos on her back. Also Hawkeye pays a visit to the Bradley's household. She receives a bad vibe from Selim, King Bradley's son. An encounter in the dark shows us some shocking truth.

He claims to be the first homonculus, but there is an evidence that proofs him wrong. If you can't read the subs, he says: "My name is Pride, the first homonculus"

We've been seeing this dude below recently. Who is he? He isn't Van Hohenheim, Ed & Al's dad. He looks like him though.

Episode 40, the little one in the flask reveals us some horrible ugly disturbing truths. We see a young Van. His name is Slave 23 back then with a dark ball in a flask. It reveals itself as homonculus and it thanks Slave 23 for giving him life. His blood is what made him be. As a gratitude it names Slave 23 as Van Hohenheim. They have a close relationship, Van takes him everywhere. The little one inside the flask is seen as a great source of knowledge and the King, whose growing old asks for immortality. The little one grants him his wish, or so he thinks. The transmutation is centered on Van. When he comes to his senses, everyone's dead. The little one has a human body and looks like Van. Since he has Van's blood, he just copied his being and granted Van immortality. Van is horrified. In episode 36 we see him trying to cope, but he is still uncomfortable around Ed & Al. We don't know how or why the little one was created, but it's mentioned, "All was created from one, and it eventually returns to one. All exist due to one and all exists within one".

F*cked up eh?

Maybe what was left over from the flask came to be as Pride? If so, why are there two Pride's?????

As we're moving forward with the story. Al is going through some changes. His soul is trying to leave the armor and reunite with his body. Ed got into a fight with The Crimson Alchemist and got badly injured. He did some alchemy on his wounds, but he is still badly injured.

I can't wait for more!!!!

anime, fma brotherhood
