Darker Than Black Finale
So this anime came to an end, and as much as I love Hei, this was so confusing!
The final episodes starts with Suou finding Shion looking dead (his remuneration took a toll on him). He wants to go outside to see the moon. We all know that if Izanagi and Izanami meet a catastrophe will befall on earth. I'd care less, there are tons of gates appearing out of nowhere, contractors and dolls... I'd say "bring it on!".
They are trying to stop this prophecy.
Hei is fighting the weird lesbian chick (hehehe, her name is Hazuki), but she doesn't kill him. The bulky director comes and tells her, Hei wasn't the one who killed Youko, but the perverted weird lecher contractor (LOL his name is Shizume). He's been working with the CIA and Hazuki vowed to take care of him.
We all know there are contractors who bare the names of the month. July is one of them and after Hei killed his partner, he asked him to join them. He gets close with Suou, even though it's odd for them to feel emotions, but throughout the anime, he's been sticking close by her and even now chose to go to the gate to get his wish granted.
Hei meets with Yin (Izanami) and the director tells him she's an empty shell. Her inner being has already left for the gate. When they captured her, they intended to kill her right away, but Yin herself stopped it. They hurriedly sealed her, but Hei disturbed it and Yin didn't go back to sleep.
The two meet, Izanagi & Izanami. Apparently if they meet, they will open Hell's Gate and create a new being.
Suou finds Shion and he tells her he has made a deal and to look after the world he created and he dies. We see Izanami and he kills July as well and she tells Suou, she has granted him his wish.
Shion has given Suou a pendant, it's the meteor's core which seals her memories and makes her live like Suou. Izanami breaks it and she starts loosing all of her memories.
She's about to shoot when Hei stops her and holds her. He tells her where she is going, she won't need it. We see both her and July lying on the ground. Hei sees Yin and she tells him it's not too late and to kill her.
The obsessed BK-201 fan (hehehe her name is Kizaragi) comes to the scene and she sees Hei's contractor star start shining again. We all know he lost his contractor powers. She and Mao gets suspended into the air and she sees Hei with Yin and the light shines brightly.
We see Suou getting ready for school with her mom and dad. She goes to school and visits the aquarium and July passes her by and waves at her, but she can't remember him. She tells that she sees familiar faces, but just doesn't know who they are, but she feels like she knows them very well.
Shion created a world beyond the moon or inside the moon (fake) and the priced Suou paid is losing her memories of everyone. July also paid the price of having Suou not remembering him. They say the gate with grand you any wish, but you will loose something in return.
After the ordeal America gained contol over Tokyo. The syndicate no longer exist, another gate has opened.
We see a boy lying in a coffin and with the opening of his eyes, kills the people surrounding him. Is this the being Izanagi & Izanami created?
Kizaragi beliefs Hei is still alive somewhere and she and the rest of the gang will chose the same path.
On a side note: she looks pretty like this.

It was a good series and I wished it was longer. The first season had 24 episodes, why can't this one? I was disappointed to see a very different Hei in this series, he beat Suou and drank a lot. Gradually he began changing to his old self, but I didn't like this Hei at all.
