today is the first morning since the school year started that i've actually had the time to sleep as late as i wanted, and done it. Brie and I went to bed at 2ish and I woke up at 12. Absolutely wonderful. I've been noticing such a difference lately in my body's craving for enough rest to keep it "well rested," versus just "enough rested," during which I feel partially sick and groggy the whole day. Yoga, eating well, going to the gym, sleeping enough, and being mentally stimulated make for a perfect combination. the trainspotting soundtrack is a good one, i forgot that i had it and am listening to it now. friday night i hung out with a bunch of new kids, many of whom were quiet physics majors, but brie, kim, jeff, sarah barz, her boyfriend andrew, and brie's friend kernel were there as well. it was a really good time and they had had an apple fest so they picked apples and made turnovers, cider, pies, and brownies. soooo yummy. on saturday i spent the whole day doing all of the errands/cleaning/laundry and catch-up stuff i had to do. how it took the whole day i have no idea, but it did. i hate always feeling like time escapes me. maybe i'm just not as productive as i need to be? i ran into shannon, rena's old roommate who i was sort of friends with last year, and that was really nice- hadn't talked to her in forever. it's nice to see a friendly face after a long time. well, it's time for homework of course and lots of it! and the gym too. even though i just stayed home and caught up on everything this weekend, it was amazing and felt so good. and brie was around, and she won't be for the next 2 weekends so it was great to spend time with her finally. we had a dance party of 2 in the dining room and got tipsy on hard cider and oktoberfest. mmmmmm. see you soon!
