I went jogging tonight with my neighbor Greg. I thought I was done for when we called it quits, but when I was cooled down, I felt so energized I felt the need to go the gym and wear myself out. Most of the machines were all taken, so I broke down and biked for 20 minutes, which sucked because the bikes hardly burn any calories compared to the elliptical machines. I lifted weights like crazy, then jogged again for a mile, then finally got on a elliptical /cross trainer hybrid thingy for 20 minutes. I did the last one so I could come home and have a piece of yummy cake that Chris made last week. News flash: our kitty Leeloo likes cake.
I've been going gangbusters at the gym recently. I swear it wasn't a New Year's resolution; I just have more time now since I'm only working 10-15 hours a week, which was supposed to happen last semester, but really didn't. Plus, being a student at UT gives me free access to their gym facilities, and that's a huge incentive. I can already tell a difference these past 2 weeks have been. I'm the lightest I've been in like 5 or 6 years, which I oddly discovered when I first started going back to the gym. I also signed up for a wall climbing class that meets 4 times next month. I've always been curious about doing that, and probably would never do it by myself. Chris and I are thinking about playing racquetball also.
Anyhoo, I think I'm finally beat, so off to bed I go!
