ICQ was the first new wave of IMs I ever downloaded. When it got bought by AOL years ago, I imagined AOL would ditch AIM, but even to this day they exist separately. A few months ago I got a new computer and installed Trillian again, but I could not for the life of me remember my ICQ password; and apparantly I had never changed my email with them and can't even remember the email I used to sign up. Even if I did, I doubt it's an email I have. Lately over the past year, the only messages I ever got on ICQ were eastern European fembots wanting to send me to to various links (poorly disguised as buddy requests). And so the green dot on my Trillian client remains hollow. That's kinda sad, but AOL so dropped the ball after purchasing ICQ. I try to avoid AIM messages when I can -- hello?! no offline message support? Get with it AIM (and MSN). So now it's primarily yahoo and a couple of jabber accounts, which I wouldn't have if it weren't for Google and LJ.
Anyone irritated how long it's taking Trillian Astra to come out?
farewell,
