Happy Christmas, Merry Chahananaahuhuhka, and Fabulous Festivus Everyone

I bought groceries at literally the last minute before the store closed yesterday. While I was shopping, I ran into the tenants of my fourplex. That was interesting.

I prepared some food afterwards at Mauricio's house, while he was doing the same. When we got to a stopping point, we decided to go out. He had been drinking lots of wine and/or beer, and smoking more than one kind of ingredient, so I was the de facto designated driver. We went to Charlies where I knew we'd run into Jorge and Frank. We also ran into the guy #1 who I kissed the week prior. Mauricio thought he was pretty cute too, and I could see him flirting with him. It was the basis for a cheezy 90's lust triangle movie. I'd be up for the part. We headed to the local leather bar afterwards, which was dead, so we didn't stick around.

Jorge called me up from Oilcans to report of a Nachos and Salsa sighting. I told him I probably wouldn't show up anyway. Mauricio overheard some of our conversation so I let him in on the Nachos scandal. I didn't use my nicknames for the players, but he was still able to guess that they were Mexican (go figure). We then proceeded to drive around central Austin looking for a place that was open. We ended up at IHOP right by his house that we could have gone to before starting our wild goose chase. He was still funny drunk, but cute nonetheless. He had told me earlier that he appreciated our casual-but-not-too-casual relationship. It was a warm fuzzy moment.

After I dropped him off, I drove over to zevious's house to check in on his cats. They always hide from me, but there were signs of life nonetheless. This weekend was the first time I saw his house, and it just blew me away. It's really incredible. I just wish it were 20 minutes further southeast.

I got home, chatted, prepared more foods for tomorrow, and now am going to bed. May everyone have a great final week of 2005.
