how many people lie instead of talking tall?
a quick observation from the last few days: i've been typing to people more in varied formats, and have noticed that before hitting the send key, after a quick typo-scan, i've been deciding to take out softening language: things like i think, i feel, in my experience, or something, just my opinion but, etc. etc.
some still get sent out [with or without proper attention on my part], and i'm not saying that's necessarily a bad thing, but it is worth taking note of.
i seem to be shifting unconsciously and now consciously away from being polite, self deprecating, attentive to others's thoughts/feelings, or mollifying. this seems entirely appropriate for the level of over the top evil that the past year threw at us.
