Reading articles about non-human DNA (definition: DNA from microorganisms, plants and animals), trying to write a review which is due in about a week. Desperately trying to write enough so that this gnawing feeling of angst will go away and I can focus on doing other things. The subject of forensic genetics is somewhat different to what I thought it would be like. Different in a good way but it doesn't mean that I happily waste hours (and brain cells?) reading mind-numbingly boring articles on nisched experiments on muntjac DNA.
What I'd really like to do is draw. For once. Started drawing last night and I realised I've really missed it. I enjoy playing an instrument as music is a real challenge, but drawing is something that comes more natural to me. I've got so many different types of art supplies it's almost silly and I hardly ever use them. Graphite pencils, coloured pencils, charcoal crayons, oil pastels, watercolours, oil paint and ink. Clearly need to structure my life and make time for other things than studying and computer games.
