Future plans, crappy weather and Midsummer

Jun 21, 2008 00:23

It's midnight and I really feel like updating here though I'm not really sure what to say.

School's ended, I'm almost certain that I passed my last exam so... First year of my biology education over and done with!
Oh, and I changed my mind about my courses next term. Tried to switch from Bioanalysis + Geology to Chemistry. Really hope it'll work out ok with student loans and such...
Not sure I know what I want to do anymore. The only thing I know is that I've got a bad feeling about the kind of work I want to do. Hardly any jobs available and lousy pay. Not exactly a dream situation after 5 years of studying and building up a huge debt. Been pondering checking what it takes to become a forensic. According to AMS's website biology could be a way to get there. Will look closer into it later on.

Got another six days of work to go. Teaching little kids to swim isn't too bad after all, especially as I work with nice people and as I don't have to do much at all. If only the weather would improve. Just slightly. Or preferably a lot. I want sunshine and 30 degrees next week! I'm quite tired of waking up in the morning just to realise I've got 6 hours of standing in cold water ahead of me.

On another note, today is Midsummer's Eve. It's been quite pleasant. Nice food and picking flowers. Today is also Steve's 30th birthday. I miss him... M'älskling...
