I'm supposed to be spinning,
but I took a break to eat and decided to read the new Michelle West book I picked up, Hidden City. The one where the first sentence on the back states that her fans have been waiting over a decade to read. Yeah, that one. I just finished Chapter Two and OMG OMG OMG! Now I remember what crack her writing is. And I mean crack as in addictive. I love her characters. So far Ive only seen Jay as a child and everything is written from the perspective of Old Rath when he first meets her. I'd forgotten who Rath was until he named himself "Old Rath". I normally not fond of prequels (though this series is supposed to extend past the timeline of the ending of the last one....or it'd better damn it cause I want to know what happens....damn cliffhangers), but only two chapters in and I'm going "Oh goody, character history".
Okay I'm prying myself away to go take a shower then get this one section of spinning done. I'm in a competition to spin CJ Kopec colorways. I'm spinning Montana Moon. To my eyes its black, dusty blue-violet, lavendar, mahogany and milk chocolate but the names she gives includes a dusty green and the milk chocolate she describes as khaki. Either way its gorgeous and I will be posting pictures eventually.
