Veggie Weekend
Coughing my lungs out still. The Cough syrup didnt last 6hrs...more like 2...ugh. Hope I get some sleep tonight.
Didnt do a damn this this weekend. Well I have laundry in the dryer but that is it.
I had planned on going back to the gym tomorrow (put it on hold due to moving....got PLENTY of exercise doing that) but had no motivation to find my gym clothes plus, with this cough, I have no plans on doing anything strenuous until its gone. Will see the doctor if it doesnt start getting better.
Things to do this week:
Put bags of food from old pantry into new pantry.
Finish knitting the Dark Mark Illusion Scarf, its almost done.
Clear off my sewing table and finish the steampunk jacket.
Put organization units together and transfer my clothes into them.
If I get all that done I hope to start putting my books that are in various boxes, up on to the book shelves and organize what books I need to buy next. I have several books that I have the next in line in a series AFTER the book I havent read yet. There is one book I should have here but I cant find it and I just bought it. Ugh!
Currently reading The Iron Hunt by Marjorie M Liu. Her earlier series were in the romance aisle so I never found them but this is pretty good. After reading the reviews of her earlier series Im going to ignore the windswept generic romance covers and pick them up. There is always a little romance in the sci fi books, but the combo of sci fi and romance is getting to the point where its hard to figure out where to shelf something. I think if they picked two covers for each book, they could market to both genre readers. Its getting insane. I hate that Im strolling the romance aisle looking for modern supernatural mysteries, but there ya go. Honestly, so far The Iron Hunt....really good. Very heavy into character development with the mystery kinda a back seat but I actually like stories like that. If you like Buffy but are tired of sorting through all the look alike stories, you might like The Last Hunt. They are called zombies instead of vampires but are actually the same thing, demons possessing humans and living off of pain and blood. Lone Hunter, the Wardens are dead. Instead of just supernatural powers, she is actually a host to mini demons that give her invulnerability and strength during the day, and during the night the mini demons come out and play. Kinda cute in a "Aww how cute it just bit the head off that teddy bear" kinda way.
Anyway, if you are an avid book reader, I highly suggest Shelfari. Im Kiarapanther there and at Ravelry, the knitting and crocheting equivalent.
