Merlin, SPN, H5O -- What the actual fuck?

Sorry, you've been warned about this journal not suitable for minors and senstitive people, right? I just can't help the swearing.

I've just been wondering, is bad writing contageous? First we had S3 of Merlin with like 4 decent episodes in the entire season and screwed up characterizations all across. Then SPN with what we already have and the much ( Read more... )

not writing, merlin, spn, h5o, rant

I'll have to say I used to adore Supernatural in those early S1 days. I guess the Bloody Mary episode was one of the few horror genre things to actually scare me (that and a film called The Others, but right now it's become -- still watchable especially since I've now watched all episodes -- but so myth heavy it's less entertaining, and way less scary. That and I'm not sure the plots holds. I heard they have another go at it, so maybe they'll do better next time around.

Well, they'd better, because S6 is kind of a mess. A big mess, actually. Like they didn't know what to do with it, and decided to go with whatever came along. >.<

The thing is, I can understand that there are different writers on the team, and deadlines, and God knows whatever else, but still -- still. There's a certain amount of things that are excusable, even if we don't like it, but that line was crossed a long time ago. *frowns*

I think that the disease from the movie industry is spreading out. I got cinema voucher for 6 tickets as a Christmas gift and used one until now. ONE! And it's been almost 5 months. The next one is for a movie I want to see only because of one of the actors as the whole plot is a swill twice re heated. It's like the movie industry is not able to produce a decent action/fantasy/adventure production anymore. 2010 was bad - 2011 is worse. Now I fear what 2012 will bring, with Merlin S4 and all those bloody sequels in the cinemas. But at least I have The Borgias and Game of Thrones to comfort me.

I dunno. I loved the King's Speech. Loved it. But not much else lately, so maybe you're right.

I haven't started on the Borgias yet, though what I did catch a glimpse of was tempting. You like?

"King's Speech" was great. A "feel good" movie but at the same time a beautiful drama and awesome acting :) But we had like what? "King's Speech" and "Black Swan" (for some) from dramas and maybe "Paul" from SF/Adventure movies. I didn't see any decent action/adventure movie or comedy for over a year. POTC looks disgusting and I don't know if even Johnny Deep will persuade me to see that one.

As for Borgias - I love it! The acting is great, the Pope and his children are painted splendidly! And the costumes!!! (melts in happiness).

My favorite character is Lucrecia. The series shows her journey to maturity in awesome way. I really, really recommend it :)

While you make excellent points, I'm more surprised you actually managed to find 4 whole good episodes in Merlin season 3.

i never get hooked with supernatural i watched like 3 seasons i think...

About Merlin is a real shame, i love first season so much

and merlin and Arthur are really in love, you can see it in every look they share and the familiarity all in them scream love!!
but they must to make that girl in the middle!!!
They have no chemistry at all, Gwen must go with Lancelot and be happy! and let my boys alone!!
and the writers omg why they must to do so much crap crack??

i'm with you!

at least doctor who had a fabulous episode!

I thought this latest Doctor Who episode was probably the best so far with Matt Smith. I haven't enjoyed the new Doctor or his companions as much as previous ones. But this episode was wonderful.

i loved tenth and the master!!

about companions i like Donna and Amy the best

my doctor will always be Tenth but this episode was awesome!
How the Tardis thought she was who stole a timelord!
because why she left her door open if not was an invitation a trap for a timelord!

Really this is one of the best episodes ever!!

Great picture!

I loved tenth! The first episode I ever saw was Smith and Jones and I got hooked immediately. I'm a huge fan of Donna. I just recently re-watched the Unicorn and the Wasp (my sister is sitting beside me and advocating for Partner in Crime) and I think it might be the best episode ever! (Though the newest was just so amazing!)

I'm still not totally sold on Amy, though little Amelia was great. That whole weird makeout scene was just....weird. She's better with Rory around.

Her explanation of how she stole a timelord was hilarious! Its given me hope for the rest of the season. :)
