MP/S and MK/MS.
I love character studies, and the mirrorverse is an excelent field for that. I really hope you will give some time to this verse.
Most comments, later, because now I have to run.:D

Yes, it hurts. But it's also so good.
Wonderful, wonderful story.

If only he could go back, he would swear it on the rip in space that was his mother’s grave that he would never ask anyone for anything again...
And between all the things this dark Pike does to Spock, a man who turned dark for reasons Spock can understand, there are those thoughts of Chris, like
Spock thinks of Chris and the way he used to smile at the strangest things; the way Chris used to run his hand through Spock’s hair affectionately; the way they could say nothing at all the whole night long, letting their bodies speak for them; the way Chris filled Spock’s whole being with love with a simple touch of his hand.
So touching, so sad, and a part of me just thinks of a nice sequel now where Spock gets rescued and all gets fixed, okay? But for me, this story's strength is exactly the character studies in it. Great job.

*sighs* As did I. Hard to work with something so cliched.

I thought about it, not that I'll ever write it, but I thought about it. Something tells me things won't be at all sunny after he's rescued. At all. ._.
Thanks for reading!

Though actually, my comment was only related to my own headspace - I loved the story as is but it is one of the more depressing ones I read lately, so my inner Spock fan had an impulse to fix it. But neither the story nor Spock do need a "fixing" in a sequel AFAIS.
(P.S. I'm really happy you keep coming back to Pike/Spock.)

Don't worry, headspace is fine with me. I agree with you that this story can't be 'fixed' though I won't bore you with my own thoughts on the matter. ;)
LOL. Pike/Spock started as a one-time thing for me, and now I seem to be sucked into it for good. :D

AS for Spock, well. He didn't adapt, you're right, but that's because he didn't want to. It was a struggle for him to retain faith, to keep believing he was gonna be saved, and therefore should stick to what he is and what he always has been. He didn't want to become one of them, and he sacrificed most of himself not to lose himself completely. And then he realized that it was no use anyway, so in the end, yes, he does surrender here at the end, and knowing it kills him.
Thanks for reading, hon.
