So, while I'm working on DNSB Part IV, and with the holidays several days away, I thought it a good time to share my fic recs with you. I'm pretty sure most of you have already read most of these beauties, but mircales happen, ya know? ;) Or, it may be that I just want to confess my undying love for these works, so here comes. ;)

No Win Scenario by singingintime
Simply the most beautiful, stunning piece of reboot K/S. Epic kissing. Doomed romance. Tear-jerker, but very beautiful. <333
Only Good for Legends by leupagus
AU. Spock is a police detective, Jim -- just Jim? I suppose. A more wonderfully crafted AU world I have never read. Pitch-perfect characterization. 3 chapters are up for now. WIP, but worth the wait and suspense -- believe me. It's to coin a phrase completely fascinating.
L/A/S by rageprufrock
I love this fic! :D The first four parts are hilarious, and characterization is superb. The 5th part is angsty -- a touch, as well it should be. The author does both incredibly well. The only sad thing here is that the updates come torturously slowly. WIP.
Getting Educated by tyleet27
AU, School/Academy, Spock being Jim's teacher. The word, fellows, is UST. Fantabulous and enticing. Complete. Hopefully sequelled some day.

It's actually a Kirk/Spock/Bones friendship or slash -- but -- BUT -- you haven't lived if you haven't read this one, promise!!! :D This one's one of a kind.
What You Love by sans_pertinence
Kirk/Spock, NC-17, deals with the aftermath of Plato's Stepchildren. I have never read a deeper interpretation of what had happened, nor a more perfect characterization. I'm strongly recommending this story to everyone, but mostly to those not exactly familiar with TOS Kirk and Spock and their relationship -- it's like a case study and it's incredible. I'd vote this story for the best TOS Kirk/Spock story of the year. Seriously.

The FML (Fuck My Life) series by cards_slash
One of the few authors who actively develops the pairing (which in itself is a huge mistake, if you ask me) and does so wonderfully. The series starts with an Academy time hook-up and progresses further. A good measure of psychology, angst and romance. No fluff here. Mesmerizing as hell. Highly recommended even if you're not a fan of the pairing.
RPF Pinto (*facepalm*)
Suave Sesquipedalian Bastard by blcwriter Language kink? Education kink? It's your thing, people. An ironic and romantic tale spiked with just enough realism and humor. Great read!
Journey Worth Making by Miz
This story just doesn't get old. Zach's POV and masterfully done, too. A classically unfolding romance with a lot of misunderstandings and UST along the way. Simply terrific.
Other
Time to get a little of the road. LOL. Strange Geometry by ewinfic . Zach/Sylar. I know. Sounds weird, right? The fic is incredible. It helps if you watched Heroes. An enticing combination of smoking hott sex and psychological issues. A fic like no other. ;)
