Of all the times not to pack a bunch of food.
Have any of you checked out the food machine? Is that a load of crap or what? I mean, if you give it exact instructions, it will produce something that maybe, if you really use your imagination, will taste slightly like what you want, but for the most part it's all crap.
And don't think you can say, "Make something delicious!" and leave it to decide. It might be able to figure out what we need as far as vitamins and all such, but it has no idea of what "delicious" means.
I haven't completely given up hope. Since there isn't much else to do on this ship, I'm trying to work with this thing. Maybe if I can get the right description, I can make it produce food we might not hate eating.
My job seems to be weapons. Which, I know, thanks to Vezelay. Not that there's much to do right now. We've blown up a couple of small asteroids that might have been trouble, but other than that, space is pretty quiet. And it's not like we have to devote a lot of time to this either. Our shifts are just about four hours and 15 minutes. It's leaving a lot of time to walk around.
One good thing is the armor making machine. Well, I don't know if Videl is too thrilled with this. I'm sorry, Videl, I know how frustraiting it must be to have your wishes denied, but I'm with everyone else. You've got an extra special reason to be protected. We'd all feel awful if anything happened to the baby, and you know you would be too.
I got armor of course. It's primarly blue ("to match my eyes," she said, simpering) In fact, it reminds me a lot of the armor Vegeta used to wear in those pictures of him. Except instead of white and yellow, the actual armor parts are black and red. Okay, it isn't the most beautiful stuff in the world, but it works for me. The stuff feels really good too. Very light weight, very comfortable. I haven't seen where this stuff will restrict my movements at all. Of course, I maxed up the flexibility, which took away from the protection, but I can deal with that.
Of course it looks a bit odd, all this armor without shoes to match it, but I guess the machine is malfunctioning a bit because no mattter what we've tried, we can't make shoes.
I'm wondering if maybe I can maybe get the machine to make coverings for our feet that we can wear over our shoes. I agree with Goten, if this stuff will help us blend in with Foster's crew, I want to make sure even our feet fit in. Maybe I'll look into that when I'm done with this. I've got the time it seems and I'm getting tired of trying to get the food machine to make something we won't hate to eat.
