I had a really great event this past weekend. I had a lot of fun with only a few moments of high stress, which was exactly what I needed.

(Not sure how to quote people in comments yet - still getting used to livejournal).

That's a great question. I think giving us multiple opportunities to interact with NPCs is a clever answer - it can also make interactions less stressful when I know I will have another chance to do so. I can't immediately think of anything else, but I'd like to put more thought into it.

That being said, from the games that I come from, I am not used to having plotlines I can easily get involved with and NPCs that I can befriend. Having to learn how to meet people is a high-quality problem.

A larger problem that I struggle with is being able to cope with some of the more stressful field fights. The plague is a great tool, but it can be difficult to realize that I need to pull myself out of a situation and that it is okay to do so. (The fight this event where liches(?) surprised us un town went very poorly for me. I was cowering in the cabin from OOG fear, but did not have the presence of mind while panicked to consider myself plagued and not respond to the Expose Beast effects.)

I'm very thankful that I was well enough to make it to the event - I had a great time, and I think it did me a lot of good in this time of stress. If I haven't made it obvious, I've really been enjoying the mods/encounters you've been involved with.
