ok since people have been asking me to go on LJ... I'm on LJ now :P
So far the only interesting thing that really happened that stuck was my driving lesson on Sunday (I can't be stuffed talking about the party, it's the same thing every year)
Anyways, so I was doing the usual, driving, and we all know that when you're a learner, you do make mistakes... Forgetting entirely that the red light is meant to turn green soon is one of them. I was only there for two seconds when the idiot behind me started beeping, then I moved and then we came to another annoying red light and the bastard stopped right next to me on the passenger side.
Unfortunately, it was hot so all the windows were opening. so this racist, sexist idiot next to me just opens his mouth and goes.
"First of all she's asian, second of all she's a woman, never teach them how to drive"
Ok so it doesn't seem that bad, but honestly, what a stereotypical bastard. Just because I'm asian, doesn't mean that I have no idea how to drive, what do you think I'm taking driving lessons for? Just so I can be let lose out on the road with no experience whatsoever like those frew overseas students that drive without a license? Oh, and I'm wondering if he noticed that my driving instructor was Chinese as well.
Second of all, what the fuck does being a woman have to do with ANYTHING? My mum drives better than my dad. My dad bloody well cuts corners ever time and has been in two car crashes WHILE I HAVE BEEN IN THE CAR... although neither one of them were his fault, but still, he drives weird and my mum's driving makes me car sick. The only people that I can stand driving is my sister and my eldest brother.
Yes this incident did upset me (not in the crying way, you nut heads *rolls eyes*) Just pissed me off to the extent where I nearly hit other people with my driving instructors car, speed an awful too much and yes I think my instructor could tell that his comment had really pissed me off... If it was my car and no one was in the passenger seat and that guy didn't have kids in his car, I would have rammed right into him on purpose, fucking arse hole.
My cousin's thought that it was funny though. One was like, "well obviously, his wife doesn't know how to drive." While the other more reasonable ones were like "Well looks at it this way, at least you didn't do anything about it and ignored it, so how do you think that the situation would look like to anyone else?"
I mean it's not the fact that I suck at driving, on the contrary I've been told that I'm quite good, when I'm not distracted that is. The thing that just pissed me off the most was the fact that I hate sexist, racist, stereotypical people. Like ones that naturally assume that you're an overseas student because you're asian. What do I have to do? Announce to the whole world that I'm a New Zealand born, who was raised in Wellington? For gods sakes where I come from shouldn't even bloody well matter.
Anyways, I finally figured out how to animate crap now... I'm going to go hug Kurama plushie now.
