Thanks Gang

So my profound thanks to everyone who replied to yesterday's post. Knowing that the online community is still speaking to me makes me feel one hundred percent better though I had nowhere to go but up, frankly. So today is in fact the one year anniversary of my leaving the working world (under doctors orders) and becoming, for all intents and purposes, a hermit. No hermitting isn't a bad gig, you set your own hours, get to do a lot of thinking, sleeping, alphabetizing but the money sucks. Short version is kids, I thought I'd feel better than I do but I don't in spite of the good things that have happened in my life over the last year (which includes meeting and getting to know all of my online cronies, what would i do without you? Not to mention my beloved Susan). But this is a temporary funk I'm sure, it will pass, and i will be back to myself (whoever that is) soon. Now on to part two.

Why I Jilted theholyinnocent

'Twas but two days before the wedding
to the altar we were heading
then I found who she was bedding
And it wasn't me, no it wasn't me.

The caterer, the pool girl, some chick named Mike
filled was I with vengence and spite
so bad I couldn't sleep at night
I could finally see, finally see.

But then finally I had enough
when I found her in the buff
on the bed with pillows fluffed
and perfume behind her knees.

Shocked I was at her display
Since it was our wedding day
left I did with no delay
whilst she claimed she waited for me.

So the altar was not for us
she has found her happiness
with her housekeepers and their fuss
while I write her ditties by the sea.

poetry, drama
