Oh, she had an affair? Well, then, she certainly deserved what she got! And I'm sure there was no untoward methods of "persuasion" used to get her to "confess" her adultery. 200 lashes and 6 months behind bars is too easy for that tart! Personally, I'm amazed they didn't just drag her out into the middle of the street and stone her.
I used to wonder why the women don't rise up and beat their men to death with frying pans; you'd think they'd get sick of being treated with less respect than a cow. But eventually I realized that we're talking about generation upon generation of women who have been raised to believe that they don't have the same human rights as men, that they are less than men, that the very tenets of their faith decree that men have every right to treat them like shit and get away with it. So, after centuries of brainwashing, why would they ever fight back? Shame, really. If anyone really deserves a frying pan upside the head...
And if the US Gov't was serious about their disapproval of what has happened, they'd do a lot more than finger wagging and 'tsk tsk'-ing. They'd boycott...ah, but wait! Thats where the oil comes from...never mind.
