Speak
Every time I try it speak to him, he shuts me down and pushes me away, and all I can think is that I can never be his son.

Touch
All I need is to touch her blonde smile, to feel its hope and love wash over me; but she can never know, she can never love.

Memory
They cling to me, the shadow’s of my past, the poor child and his lonely cry’s.

Vanilla
Her smell lingers on my coat, it makes me smile.

Chocolate
The bitter taste makes me spit it out; it is as dark and deceiving as I am.

Ways and Means
I will use any means to get her, any way to destroy him.

Belief
He can not crush my belief, as strong and unusual as he is, he will not break me.

Linger
I linger in the shadows as they lower him down, a stranger in the dark.

Illuminance
She shines so brightly it hurts to look at her, but I cannot stop looking, I cannot stop hurting.

Ornament
I watch the nameless blonde sleep in my bed, an ornament for beautiful observation; but this is not the beauty I want.

Coup de foudre
She looks at me angrily after I kiss her, she is betrayed and hurt.

Archway
It holds us together, keeping us from splitting into two and breaking apart.

Fate
It is my fate that has brought me here, my fate that has ended this fight.

Pulse
Her pulse is dead, her dark hair covering those blue eyes, but I can’t save her, I can’t help.

Envelope
It is crimson, holding my heart in its shadowy paper.

Cold
I have never felt so dark and cold as I do now, as I stand alone, the demon cursing through my veins.

Need
All I ever needed was that man’s love, but all I am is the son he could never love.

Drunk
Whisky and hope course through my veins, “You’re drunk” she says, I nod politely.

Mask
She’ll never know what’s behind this mask, and I can never show her.

Rose
She takes it hesitantly, not knowing that every thorn cuts me deeply.

Two
And he is my other half, the evil that takes over; together, we two will stop the sun from setting.

Fresh
She smiles at me with a fresh sense of hope and adoration; my heart skips a beat.

Bribe
He takes he money greedily, not bothering to count; after all trust can only do so much.

Error
The computer flashes at me angrily, losing my nerve I push it the ground.

Appetite
They will never quench my appetite, I need power and will dine on that alone.

Refrain
She moves away as I touch her hand, perhaps she feels as uncomfortable as I do.

Family
I watch the Kent’s hold their boy as my father holds me, wishing I could be in a moment with no pretences, a family with no lies.

Grieve
I stand over my mothers grave, a deep pain in my chest, I could never save her.

Vapour
The steam rises slowly, my heart wishing I could float away with it.

Tea
It burns my tongue, but still I let it slip down my throat.

Medicine
Another excuse to control me, my father passes me the pills.

Moth
I am the flame who will always end up burning you.

Perfect
Always within my grasp, but I can never attain it.

Rope
They tie it thick and fast over my wrists; the burns leave red marks.

Wind
It is cold out, and the wind, furious.

Crossroads
The lights turn green, but I still don’t know where to go.

Summer
The flowers remind me of my mothers smile; I wait impatiently for winter.

Candy
The sweet taste hides the bitterness.

Photograph
She stares at me with sad eyes, I tear the photo in half.

Spoon
The silver spoon in my mouth tastes sour as my father sighs happily with his victory.

Forest
The musky smell fills me with hope, and a means to escape.

Mirror
My reflection isn’t the same; it shows the part I want to hide.

Smoke
I try to act the hero as I pull him out of the flames; but there really is no need, the smoke is too thick for him to see and remember.

Shine
I polish the tears in my eyes until they gleam like the sun, thankful that no one is watching.

Balloon
Slowly, with a silver needle, I pop the balloons one by one, until the air escapes and the deafening sound ends.

Vine
It grows along my house, suffocating all the dreams.

Butterfly
I want to hold her in my hands like a butterfly, but delicate as she is, she’ll fall and die.

Gloves
The doctor examines my wounds with gloves on, as if I’m some disease that may poison and infect him.

Venom
She spouts out venom at me, but I cannot.

Remain
I watch them dance, sadly; I am the only one who remains.
