The film Stranger than fiction is about the life of a man named Harold Crick. This film makes a person question whether or not humans control their lives or if their lives have already been planned out. The meaning behind what the film intends to capture can be interpreted in many different ways, this is just one of the many ways The film can make one look at his or her own life to see if he or she is living life to the fullest. Everyone has to eventually die one day, but what would you do if you knew your death was closer than what you expected?
If everyone knew their lives were preplanned everyone would probably live differently. Some people might try hard to fulfill their goals or some might not try at all because they know what the outcome will be.
In my opinion I believe that people do have control over their lives. Everyone has to make a choice of some sort each day whether they realize it or not. Harold made a decision to attempt telling Ana Pascal his feelings for her. One decision that humans cannot control is death. In the film, through the narrator's voice Harold finds out he will die soon. In harold's life Harold usually had everything under his control, and death is something he is unable to. People everywhere are struggling with their daily problems and the fact that they have to face death makes it worse.
