I can waste 15 minutes today. [edit] It took an hour.

I'm gonna follow Teng today.

1. Finally... a good rest. At the cost of waking at 4 a.m. of course.

2. My son and I are fishies. This bloody surprised me. Sort of. I knew she and I have a lot more things in common.

3. You know how sometimes people on your friendslist post about stuff going on in their life, and all of a sudden you think "Wait a minute? Since when were they working THERE? Since when were they dating HIM/HER? Since when???" And then you wonder how you could have missed all that seemingly pretty standard information, but somehow you feel too ashamed to ask for clarification because it seems like info you should already know? It happens to all of us sometimes.

Please copy the topics below, erase my answers and put yours in their place, and then post it in your journal! Please elaborate on the questions that would benefit from elaboration. One-Word-Answers seldom help anyone out. (:

1. FIRST NAME: Kristine Michelle. It could have been Kimberly. My mom was fond of the name Kim. But they never explained to me how Kimberly ended up Kristine Michelle. I think Michelle might have come from the Beatles' song. My dad used to sing that to me when I was young, which was nice. Kristine though... idk. Everyone calls me Khursten nowadays anyway. Maybe I should get a legal name change. But I like my name.

2. AGE: Twenty... six. Honestly nowadays, I lose count of my age. I believe I stopped counting when I was 23.

3. LOCATION: Philippines. A floating island hovering between Finland and Greenland. In short, WE ARE NOT PART OF ASIA. So some idiots would say.

4. OCCUPATION: Graduate Assistant for Ateneo de Manila University's History Department. Cut short, I'm my department's bitch. But who cares, I love 'em.

It's a cool job and quite helpful to my dream profession because I have access to resources quite easily. My teachers are very helpful and I have my psychiatrist (Mr. Tirol) helping me out on my angy days. Occasionally... Clark. He hovers around MWF. What I do in a day is interesting. I generally research things for our department, I occasionally sub for their classes, I do promo stuff (posters, etc.) and I go around from department to department to do things.

5. PARTNER: Bwuh. TEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEENGGG!!! PUTANGINA 'TONG TANONG NA TO!

No. I'm not dating Teng. We are not married. That's just her illusion.

I had three boyfriends in my lifetime. The first one was amazing. The second one was a good guy to pass some time with. The third was a jerk and strangely, he was the longest I had. He can die in a fire. I have hopped beds with two other men with no regrets. I will say that these relationships have helped me figure out the best and worst in me. But strangely neither of them are responsible in my failure to commitment. Well maybe in hindsight.

The first one, John, will always be memorable to me. I honestly would have married him. If I wasn't sixteen. He took me in not only because I was a nice sixteen year old girl to have (he was 28), but because he believed that every young girl has the right to be treated right the first time. And I appreciate him for it. I have never felt more spoiled, secured, and taken care of with anyone else than him. And it wasn't really spoiled spoiled. lol. If someone buys me a can of coke and doesn't make me pay, I feel rotten spoiled. I'm quite an easy girl this way. Sad to say, he didn't have the end in mind with me. I don't blame him. I was sixteen. What I love about him was he left me saying I should go and live a new life, find out what I really want in life and love.

And in a sense, 10 years later, I'm still longing for what he gave me. A sense of security and ease, the kind where I can just slump over, be a little selfish and rant easily about myself for ten minutes and I won't feel judged, even if this person would give me some kind of criticism (certainly this person would easily say I'm stupid, because really I rant about stupid things). I honestly miss having the comfort of just being able to rest on someone who can support my weight and I don't even have to worry about it because I know this person loves me that much. Someone I can depend on, for the littlest of things. I'm strangely, an easy girl to please.

Of course, this person gets enough benefits from me as well. They get a cook, a driver, a history teacher, etc. etc. In retrospect, I've realized I've given a lot to the people I love, taking after John, but my peeve was that I never get to depend on them. I can't exactly feel secure with them.

There is someone of interest right now... Not sure where it's really heading. Strangely, this is a brand new experience from me since I'm coming from the opposite end. I'm trying to get through it by the day and it's been interesting. Idk. It stumps me a sometimes. lol.

6. KIDS: I like kids. I particularly like bullying kids. Our family is never short of bullying our own kids. That's why we're all tough assess. I remember hanging up one of my nieces upside down when she was a toddler and instead of crying her eyes out, she would just laugh until she cried. Generally, I have a good patience for kids. Do I want one of my own someday, why not? If a guy can get me pregnant. Ahahahahaha.

OTL.

I have ovary issues so my fertility is questionable (safe sex everytime... AWESOME!) but yeah, having kids someday is a nice thought. I considered adopting. It's quite fashionable nowadays although for me it's closer to helping a population.

Randomly... almost a good number of my high school classmates have kids now. GOD. WE'RE JUST 26! bloody hell.

7. BROTHERS/SISTERS: I have none. My cousins were like my brothers and sisters for me and funny thing is they have an 'interesting' reputation in our neighborhood. If I may say it... This was our 'hood, y'all.

But yeah, they're like my brothers although the extent of our brotherhood is not exactly close. They don't know much about me but when I need them, they'll come running. One time, they even terrorized my ex-boyfriend from coming to our house. Oh well, that guy was a sissy anyway. :T

They all have families now. More like, they've all knocked someone up so they have families now. They're funny blokes and awesome drinking buddies.

8. PETS: Rotaro. He's dead. The other kittens here are his spawns. I don't take care of them. I see no connection with them.

9. LIST THE 3-5 BIGGEST THINGS GOING ON IN YOUR LIFE:

- Work is awesome but it makes me smoke almost 3 packs to a week. THIS SHOULD BE REMEDIED.

- I read a lot faster now. SO I LEVELED UP TO GRADE 7!! WOOOHOOOOO!! But yeah... only because I have 16 books to read. Orz.

- I have a virtual girlfriend and she's clingy but she's the sweetest thing on earth but I'm on the verge of breaking up with her... after a weekend of being together (specifically... 151 days). I'M NOT A MAKEOUT MACHINE OKAY.

- I started something new. *w*) Just you guys wait. And in hindsight, I should really be doing other blog things lately (considering my singapore trip) but... it's hard to start writing.

- I've lost inspiration to do something because of a few half-hearted words.

10. PARENTS:

My mom is in Germany now with her friends who have been very nice and helpful to us. She... didn't pay for her trip (as usual) but it was such a stressful process to get her out of the country. She's now eating wurst everyday. I am insanely jealous over that. Oh! She's also eating that nice turkish shawarma near that place. Oh my god, the yogurt drink there was heavenly. WAIT. I should be talking about my parents.

My parents are separated. My dad is somewhere in Mindanao with his kids. His mistress died of brain cancer this year (LOL KARMA). It was a bit of a surprize that my dad's mistress died. She harasssed us for a good number of years and lol... that kind of led her to brain cancer.

Truth be told, I was daddy's girl. He's a great dad and a great man but honestly a bad husband. Then again, I can't blame him since my mother's also an interesting character. She has mood swings and attention issues that when my dad up and left... I had to take care of that. o_o) How do you exactly take care of that? I don't know but I'm slowly learning.

I think the hardest part about their separation for me was the breaking of my dad's perfect image. He was really a cool guy (a trufax GAR). He taught me almost everything I know: cooking, installing a light bulb, jumping a car, changing car tires, checking engine oil and radiator, building a cabinet, etc. etc. Honestly, thanks to him, I can never get lost in places and if I do... I have the skillset to survive. He was a person who took care of people in his own distant way and well... he was harsh when he got angry. The thing is, he rarely got angry. I think... I got a lot of my personality from him.

I grew up threefolds because of my parental situation. So honestly, I feel like I'm 35 even when I'm 26.

11. WHO ARE SOME OF YOUR CLOSEST FRIENDS?: This has no order. There is no order in friendship.

I have two good friends from high school. Kristina and Abu. Abu's my HS bestfriend. Honestly, we haven't spoken in years. Nor have I seen her in years. But during our last facebook e-mail, it was like as if we've never parted at all. Randomly, I don't think we consider each other best friends although people think we are. Most of the time, I think she thinks I was just this smart monkey who loomed over her genius and teaches her stupid stuff. At most, I'm happy to make her laugh. It's hard to make people laugh.

Kristina's like my little sister. She was my busmate and afternoon rides home were interesting in a sense that it was all talk about Kurama being gay and Hiei sticking it in. Ah youth. She was with me through some tough times. She liked hearing the shoujo stories of my youth that when it was her turn years later, it was a funny conversation. She lives in the US now, but when we do get a chance to talk, it's like we've never parted. I like friendships like this. She's one girl I can really rely on.

Abbygege_liit and Supi raishiro are my blood brothers. They've stuck with me through my hardest time in my first university and until now are still friends that I cherish and love. I... honestly owe a lot to them and I still cry thinking how much shit I made them go through just so I can deal with some of my personal shitstorms. And I love them dearly years later for still standing by my side after all that. We may move in different circles right now but if they call me, I'll come running. Supi didn't know how to fix his flat tire (and he's a guy) and I came running. Abby is more than welcome to sleep on my floor anytime. (Yes, she sleeps on my floor. orz.) They are my old reliables. And I'm greatly happy they're there for me. I'm honestly blessed with these two around and god, these guys have seen me cry more shit than ever. With my snot falling down my nose and all that jazz.

In my second university, I met Pam, izkariote. She was this girl with big eyes who just suddenly came to our side of the room since she heard us talking sentai and AXN anime shows. We just kind of clicked a little after when she realized I had BL mangas and I can read 'em. We spent the next day of orientation day reading Love Mode in our auditorium... at the disgust of our guy classmates. We had no regrets, I believe. It was a start of a very interesting partnership. Pam's quite an amazing girl for her age. She was sprouting chapters of her work (Endtimes) like mung beans and I am astounded by the extent of her imagination (even today). Sadly, I wasn't entirely there to see her grow up. I will always feel bad that I wasn't exactly there for her since I was running around to get my scholarships and thesis in place. But I'm slowly making up to it now, for all the lost time. I'm quite blessed to have her sticking by me even if at a point I may have placed her aside. I love her a lot but lol I think I'm not good enough for her because she's really amazing. She has always been the same old Pam for me so when people approach me with *A*) in their eyes because of I am amused at how great she's become. Strange how it must have been how she was catching up to me (since I was older) when we were in college and now it feels reversed like I feel like I have to catch up to her. I don't think I can, knowing her exponential capabilities, but I'm sure I'll get there in my own pace. Did I say I love her? I really do.

In meeting Pam, I met Teng yukitsu. She was young and innocent when I met her. She used to have these little honorifics for me which I whacked her for. She was very UKE guys. Like the nice kind of uke that you want to pet. BUT GOD. WHAT HAS THE WORLD DONE TO HER THAT MADE HER SO KIMOI. OTL. I hold no responsibility for this. Like Pam, I wasn't exactly there to see her grow up. At most I could just watch over them and catch up to their lives and it's only in recent history that I've gotten close to her. And strangely... it was at the time she was most kimoi. orz. She's alright. Teng is in the league of the old reliables, my safe space. Strangely, someone WAY younger than me is quite dependable but Teng has proven to me for quite a lot of times that she's quite dependable. I think she's the only one who has really heard me cry recently. And it's strange because like Abby, she can even predict when it's happening. GOD YOU SUCK. BUT I'M WILLING TO GIVE YOU MY SPLEEN. If it's of any use to you.

In meeting Teng, I met Lynffleskye_kestrel. To be honest, we've only gotten closer only in a few years but twin and I have gotten close for many things altogether. I call her twin for a reason. For one, we're born on the same year (she was just born moooonths after me) yet we have the same view on things athough she's more shounen about it as I am GAR on it. She's quite an adorable support and having a fellow foodie around always make me happy. Teng's not wrong of calling her sunshine. She's quite a burst of sunshine, really. Quiet as she looks from the start. (I'm sure she's bound to surprize you guys someday, she's starting to become a good troll.)

Pao 77ws, is my seinen buddy (I was about to say GAR, pao, but... We're not quite there. As long as Kuya Nestor stands in the way). I share manly things with him. He's one of the few manly men I know and I respect him for that. ALSO MY DRINKING BUDDY.

Yuecchi yue_dermond is my 親友. Well, my Japanese bestfriend. She is Japanese for one, and we met because... SHE WAS MY STALKER! XD But she's a very nice stalker, very polite and I'm happy that we eventually became good friends. So good, that I'm almost a part of her family. XDD I think her dad might not mind if I call him otouchan. XDDD She introduced me to a lot of otaku things (and pulled me deeper into my otaku hole) and she spoils me and surprises me everytime. >///< Ii hito ne~ She's grown very dear to me and I'm glad I can be here for her when she needs me.

Speaking of having the same view on things, Chrissie's theprerogative quite a good addition. lol. I think we've freaked out each other a lot for the things we have in common for. But I consider her one of the few close friends that I have online (although I've met her in person already, so she's... also an rl friend!) along with melz, factorielle, jaydeis and blue_bel. I generally don't trust (I have a very difficult position on trust) a lot of people online, but yeah, these guys are my reliables that I find comfort talking to them online. Even if we rarely ping each other, it's like having good old friends around.

As you can see, I'm not much of a social butterfly. I like keeping a few people if only because these people have proven themselves over time. And I'm quite happy with that.

The damn fifteen minutes was a lie and it took an hour and thirty minutes. Taking a bath... soonish.
