(no subject)
I have beaten my phone at it's own game! I am smarter than my cell phone! Hooray! :) Lol. Anyway. I figured out that I have to like, clasp the top part and then open the bottom to answer it because it's almost 2 years old and I've dropped it more times than I can remember in every area possible. I just don't want it to break. It's got text messages and Paul McCartney pictures and Nancy-with-her-hair-all-crazy pictures and I don't want to lose them!
This past week has been a really good one. We had heard thru the grapevine last week about a Saturn Vue that was for sale and so we looked at it Monday at 12 then called at 1 and said we'd take it. It's a 2005 so it's not BRAND new but it's gorgeous. We have it at my mom's friend's house because he's going to update the interior for us a little. It's SOOO nice though. Loaded, power everything, remote start, sunroof... Ohh yeah! :) I haven't taken pictures of mine yet but I found the exact same thing online so I'll post it at the end of my update.
Tuesday I went over to my dad's for a little bit and visited. I hadn't gone over there in like three weeks so I'm trying to get back into the swing of going over there once a week. Wednesday I met Andy in Midland and he dropped his car off to get the windows tinted. Guys and cars, I don't get it. We went and ate at Big Boy because I haven't eaten there in forever and wanted their cabbage soup! Then we walked around Best Buy for a while, his friend Etienne (yeah, that's totally his real name- he's French-Canadian) gave him a raincheck for a 19" widescreen monitor for $179. That's like, $100 off. So he was really excited. :) Thursday I went down to Clio with Andy for a while and then we came up to my dad's and talked to him for a while. I guess Andy is going to make him a custom box on the back of his motorcycle for more speakers and re-do the ones up front. Yesterday Andy came over after work and we just relaxed. He's still not used to working 40+ hours a week so he's been so drained. But I don't mind just laying around and cuddling with him. :D
Today I was going to go to the beach but then my monthly friend promptly arrived last night. Andy's old roommate from Kettering is getting married today so we're passing on the ceremony but going to the reception. I have no idea what to wear. I don't really want to wear a skirt but that's probably more wedding appropriate. I was going to wear my black dress pants with my open toe black pumps with the cute bows on them but I suppose I probably should wear a skirt. Blech.
Bay City has been SO busy this weekend already. The Tall Ship Celebration is in full swing and so the river is lined with huge 200 year old boats. And so that means we've got 3000 out of towners here to take tours and ugh. I'll be happy when they leave. Traffic will be so much better.
Well, after a month of wondering what the hell is going on with my rooming assignment, I finally know where I'm living. Atleast Lauren and I have singles next to each other. It's going to be so weird to not have a roommate though, and that means Lauren will have to wake herself up this year. Yikes.
I am SO excited to go back to Hillsdale. Less than a month! It's so weird, I don't know why I'm so pumped. I want to go there and go back to school and go back to work and see all the people that I haven't been able to in three months. I can't wait to start classes. I have such a good schedule this year. My earliest class is at 930, two days a week. Every other day I start at 10, and three days a week I'm done by noon. This year, I'm only going home two times a month though. In a way that kind of sucks because I won't see my family or Andy but that means I get to go to brunch and shop in Ann Arbor and get Starbucks. My friend Travis moved to Ypsilanti (well, he's technically only like 30 steps outside of Ann Arbor) and he got a job at the mall I frequent when I'm in Hillsdale so I'll definitely have to stop in and say hey to him. I haven't seen him in months!
I guess another reason I'm excited to go back to school is because I get to go school clothes shopping. And room shopping. Anyone know room sizes in Mauck? And bed sizes? I might have to get new bedding because Olds had twin beds and my sheets and comforter won't fit twinXL.
And my brother loves the Beatles now! :) That is all.
